Reiki, pronounced Ray-Kee is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Force Energy, it is an energy which is all around and in us and is a system of natural healing which was re-discovered in the late 19th Century by Dr. Mikao Usui.
I often explain Reiki as ‘a type of laying-on-of-hands healing, not attached to a belief system’. I am not a healer, just a channel. It’s the recipient who pulls through the healing energy, which then works with the body’s own natural healing ability.
Reiki works on all levels, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual, that’s why the recipient often feels a great sense of calm and deep relaxation during a treatment.
The Reiki will go to the deepest level of the cause of an issue, which we may well not even be aware of, so sometimes the presenting symptoms will appear to be the last aspect to be healed.
Reiki is suitable for everyone young or old, sick or healthy, human or animal.
Many people choose to learn Reiki so they can treat themselves and use it as an aid to personal growth and self healing.
These are some of the questions I get asked….
- I have learnt Reiki previously with another Master but want to develop my understanding and build a public practice. Can Sue help me do this?
- I am a Master Teacher. Can I adopt Sue as a Mentor/Teacher?
- I have already been attuned to Reiki but feel there are some things I still don’t understand, can Sue help me?
Yes, is the answer to all of these. I am always delighted to Mentor Students in whatever way I can. Take a look at Clarity Mentoring Sessions.
- Is Reiki a cult or a religion?
No, Reiki is not associated with any religion or organisation.
- What are the 5 Reiki Principles?
Just for Today, Do not anger
Just for Today, Do not worry
Honour your Parents, Teachers and Elders
Earn your living honestly
Show gratitude for every living thing (Different styles of Reiki use different wording)
